Join us for the first ever American Rapier Triathlon Exhibition (ARTE), a competive event focused solely on 17th century rapier and its accompanying accoutrements. For the purposes of this event, a rapier is defined as a complex-hilted thrust-optimized weapon, with a blade length of 39''-45'', as described in manuals such as Salvator Fabris's Scienza d'Arme (1606) or Ridolfo Capoferro's Art of Fencing (1610). Sideswords will not be permitted entry. If you are unsure of the type of blade you currently practice with, please feel free to email us.

Contestants may compete in some or all of the following events:

Single Sword
Sword & Dagger
Sword & Offhand Weapon of Choice (Buckler, Rotella, Cape, etc.)

The emphasis of the event will be on fun, friendly competition, with participants receiving as many bouts as possible. There will be additional areas available for freeplay. There's a snackbar onsite and several restaurants within easy walking distance.

Admission is $25, which includes entry to all of the events.

Registration closes on 1/18/18.
